Pro-Tec Plumbing & Air, a Naples-based plumbing company founded in 2008, has expanded its list of professional services to include heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC). Formerly known as Pro-Tec Plumbing & Drains, Pro-Tec Plumbing & Air serves residential and commercial customers in Collier and Lee counties.
Pro-Tec’s plumbing division installs and repairs toilets, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, garbage disposals and water filtration systems. Additional plumbing services include leak detection, repiping, drain cleaning and sewer inspections. Pro-Tec’s HVAC division offers diagnostics and system repairs, as well as complete installations of condensers, air handling units, thermostats and ductwork.

Pro-Tec Partners with Aerus
Pro-Tec also is partnering with Texas-based Aerus to offer Air Scrubber, an air purification system that installs directly into HVAC systems to remove surface and airborne contaminants, including volatile organic compounds (VOCs), odors, dust, pet dander and other allergens. Independent lab testing confirmed Aerus’ Hydroxyl Blaster with ActivePure Technology has a 99.98% seven-hour surface kill rate of live SARS-CoV-2 virus, which is the virus that causes COVID-19. The Air Scrubber system is proven effective in treating bacteria, viruses, mold and fungi on surfaces and in the air.
With the introduction of HVAC services, Pro-Tec now is offering three types of annual maintenance plans that can combine service offerings: the Pro-Tec Premium HVAC-only Plan, the Pro-Tec Deluxe Plan and the Pro-Tec Ultimate Plan. Plans include routine inspections, discounts on repairs and priority scheduling.
Pro-Tec Is Hiring Experienced Staff
Pro-Tec has hired John Peterson as lead HVAC technician and will continue to add technicians for its plumbing and HVAC divisions. Experience is preferred, but the company also offers paid training opportunities through its Pro-Tec School of Apprenticeship.
