About Our Team

In 2008, Rick started Pro-Tec Plumbing & Air with his pick-up truck, a few tools and containers of plumbing parts, and a whole lot of grit and determination. With his strong work ethic and passion for providing quality service with honest pricing, the business has become one of the largest, full-service plumbing companies in Naples. Outside of work, you will find Rick at his cabin, working on metal fabrication projects, off-roading, grilling out and spending time with his wife, two little girls, three dogs and pig.

As CFO at Pro-Tec, I focus on driving financial stability, boosting profitability, and supporting strategic growth across the organization. With a solid track record in financial leadership, I bring years of experience navigating complex challenges and delivering results that move the business forward.

Originally from New York, I relocated to Fort Lauderdale at 14 and have called Florida home ever since. Outside of work, I enjoy [insert specific hobbies if you’d like—e.g., boating, fitness, cooking, etc.], and I believe in maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

Carrie Z. is an Accounting Assistant at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, where she keeps the numbers in check and supports the financial operations of the team with precision and reliability. Originally from Illinois, Carrie moved to Naples, Florida in 2001 and began her career in construction with MK Developers. Since then, she has continued working in similar roles across the supplier, builder, and subcontractor industries.

Outside of work, Carrie enjoys weekends outdoors with her boyfriend Rick and their friends. She is a devoted animal lover with eight cats and a rescue dog named Cami. Carrie also actively supports the nonprofit Take A Soldier Fishing, having been involved since its inception—dedicating time each year to raise funds and organize benefits for the annual September event.

Debi M. manages Accounts Payable at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, bringing over 25 years of accounting experience to the team. Known for her precision and reliability, Debi ensures that financial operations run smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends, cherishing the moments that matter most.

With 22+ years in HR, I’ve seen it all—hiring, firing, growing teams, solving people problems, and building cultures that actually work. I thrive on creating clarity in chaos and helping both companies and individuals hit their stride.

Outside of work, I’m a competitive tennis player, a fast (sometimes too fast) driver, and a home cook who can pull off impressive meals—just don’t expect pastries. Baking and I don’t get along. I have zero plumbing skills, but give me a creative project—furniture, design, anything hands-on—and I’m all in. I’m not an artist in the traditional sense, but I love building, making, and experimenting.

Born and raised in Bialystok, Poland, I move easily between cultures and conversations, and bring that same flexibility and curiosity into everything I do. 

Soni is the Business Development Coordinator at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, focused on building strong relationships and bringing in new business each month. Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, she’s passionate about helping Pro-Tec grow and creating lasting connections with clients.

Her goal is simple: to give her best every day—with no regrets. Outside of work, Soni loves traveling, spending quality time with her kids and grandkids, hitting the gym, and biking. A fun fact? She always has a jigsaw puzzle in progress on her kitchen table—because, as she says, “I don’t cook, but I love a good puzzle!”

Emily R. is the Marketing Specialist at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, where she brings creativity and strategy together to promote the brand and connect with the community. From digital campaigns to local outreach, Emily is passionate about sharing the Pro-Tec story and driving growth through impactful marketing.

Rick B. is the HVAC Manager at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, bringing over a decade of experience and leadership to the team. Originally from central Wisconsin, Rick began his HVAC career after earning his Service Technician Certificate from Northcentral Technical College in 2012. He quickly advanced in the field, becoming Director of Operations at his previous company by 2021.

At Pro-Tec, Rick is focused on growing the HVAC division and setting a new standard of quality for both team members and customers. He is a former NATE-certified technician and an expert in Trane communicating and inverter-driven systems, as well as Manitowoc ice machines. His credentials include graduation from Ruth King’s Service Manager Survival School and certifications from the National Comfort Institute in Whole System Performance and Residential Air Balancing. Rick also completed Trane’s No Pressure Selling Boot Camp, where he was recognized with awards for Best Presenter and Best Evaluator.

Outside of work, Rick enjoys golfing, biking, and doting on his pets. He’s a true crime enthusiast who believes that truth is stranger than fiction.

Kenny P. is the Plumbing Service Manager at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, bringing nearly a decade of experience and a deep passion for the trade. A Navien and Kohler Certified Technician, Kenny’s goal is to become the most knowledgeable and trusted plumbing advisor in Southwest Florida—and beyond.

Originally from Chicago Heights, Illinois, Kenny also brings a team-player mentality from his days playing college baseball. Outside of work, he enjoys raising his two boys, staying active in sports, and sharing his plumbing knowledge to help others grow.

Destinee Raulerson is the Install Coordinator at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, bringing 7 years of industry experience to the team. Known for her organization and attention to detail, Des helps ensure every install runs smoothly. Outside of work, she enjoys air boating, fishing, and spending time with her husband and kids. She also holds an FNGLA certification in landscaping.

Becky Cummings is part of our Dispatch team at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air. With 4 years of experience in the field, she helps keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Outside of work, Becky enjoys cruising and spending quality time with her family.

Maria Gutierrez is a Customer Service Representative at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air with 10 years of experience. She’s dedicated to helping customers feel heard and supported from the very first call. When she’s not at work, Maria enjoys reading and baking.

Loraine  is a Customer Service Representative at Pro-Tec, where she brings warmth, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to making every customer feel valued. With two years in the trade, Loraine’s background includes a ServSafe food handling certificate and CPR training. Outside of work, she’s a proud mom to two sons and loves spending time with her close-knit family, including three nephews and a niece. Loraine enjoys fishing—especially for bluegill and crappie—gardening, painting, and has recently started learning Japanese. Her curiosity and creativity shine through in everything she does, both on and off the job.

Blaine Schnitker leads the charge in Lead Generation at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, bringing 25 years of experience in customer engagement and sales. He’s also a certified pest tech, seasoned sales trainer, and a wrestling coach. Blaine’s passion for connecting with people shines through in every interaction. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing, sports, working out, dancing, and wrestling.

Doug S.  is the Procurement Specialist at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air and proudly represents the Warehouse Department with the motto: “In the Warehouse Department, we set a higher standard.” Originally from Chicago, IL, Doug has called Florida home for the past nine years.

With a passion for mentorship, Doug lives by the saying: “Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day… teach that man how to fish and he eats for a lifetime.” His greatest achievement? His son, Gavin—who has grown into the man Doug always hoped he’d become.

Doug’s life reads like a Hallmark movie: he met his wife while on vacation at a cattle ranch in Montana, and they’re now approaching 25 years of marriage. When he’s not working or spending time with family, Doug pours his creativity into crafting handmade hats and wood art, which you can check out at www.burntandbranded.com.

Ben is a dedicated HVAC service and maintenance technician with four years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial systems. He holds a Universal EPA Certification and has completed the OSHA 10-hour safety training, demonstrating his commitment to both environmental standards and workplace safety. Known for his reliability and attention to detail, Ben excels in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Throughout his career, Ben has built a reputation for being thorough, efficient, and customer-focused. Whether he’s performing routine maintenance or troubleshooting complex issues, he brings a strong work ethic and a problem-solving mindset to every job.

Outside of work, Ben enjoys a well-rounded lifestyle. He loves spending time with his dogs, golfing with friends, and attending his family’s racing events at the Freedom Factory—a passion that combines adrenaline, mechanics, and family tradition. His hobbies reflect his energetic personality and appreciation for both relaxation and excitement.

Chris H. is the HVAC Project Manager at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, where he leads high-performing HVAC projects with a focus on energy efficiency, customer satisfaction, and long-term system reliability. Born and raised in Rochester, NY, Chris relocated to Southwest Florida in 2013 to bring his skills to a fast-growing market.

With extensive experience managing hundreds of residential HVAC installations and retrofits—from single-family homes to multi-unit and commercial properties—Chris brings deep industry knowledge and precision to every project.

Outside of work, Chris is known for turning his home into the brightest on the block every holiday season. His elaborate Christmas light displays not only spread joy but also raise funds for local charities. It’s the perfect blend of his technical talent and community spirit.

Adel Alfonso Rodriguez Jr. is an HVAC Service and Install Technician at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air with 6 years of experience in the industry. He holds both A2L and EPA certifications, bringing skill and dedication to every job. Outside of work, Adel enjoys spending time with his family, watching his daughter grow, going to church, and playing basketball with friends.

4 Years of Plumbing & Trade Experience.

I’m a 19-year-old professional plumber from the beautiful state of Florida, where I was born and raised. Plumbing isn’t just my job—it’s my craft. (Fun fact: I’m actually a master plumber… but let’s keep that between us!) When I’m not working with pipes and wrenches, I’m all about action and adventure. I train in MMA, love spending time out on the water fishing, and cruising around on a boat whenever I get the chance. Whether it’s fixing a leak or landing a big catch, I’m always up for a challenge and a good time.

Javier Carballea is a skilled plumbing and drain specialist at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air with over 17 years of hands-on experience. Born on the Isle of Youth, Cuba, Javier moved to Naples at age 10 and was inspired by the craftsmanship of his father, uncle, and grandfather. From working on old cars to building cabinets, he grew up surrounded by hardworking role models who sparked his passion for working with his hands.

Since the age of 18, Javier has focused on residential plumbing, specializing in drain work and water filtration systems. His goal is simple: provide high-quality service and leave every customer satisfied. Outside of work, Javier enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time outdoors. His favorite color is blue—a small reflection of his calm and focused nature on the job.

I was born and raised near Chicago, with 2 trips to Colorado and lived there a total of 14 years. My hobbies include fishing, hiking, and camping. I was lucky enough to be invited to Kodiak Alaska to fish for Silver Salmon surrounded by grizzly bears. An awesome experience! I’m going to be a grandfather for the 1st time this year, and I hope to spend as much time as possible with her. I’ve been plumbing for almost 35 years, and I’m currently a service plumber with ProTec Plumbing.

Jeff K.

Born in Illinois and raised in Florida, Jeff brings hands-on expertise and a passion for plumbing to every job. A former culinary student with offers to play pro baseball, he now enjoys fishing, golfing, and nature photography in his downtime. His dream? A peaceful life on a big piece of land off the grid.

Nick joins PRO-TEC as a service technician, working under Kenny and his experienced team of techs. With three years in the trade and a lifetime of hands-on experience, Nick’s journey began at age 10, developing skills through construction, carpentry, landscaping, HVAC, and maintenance. For the past 3–4 years, he’s focused on plumbing, bringing a well-rounded and practical skill set to the team.

Outside of work, Nick is an animal lover with three dogs and five cats. He enjoys off-roading on his quad and dirt bike, swimming at the beach or local pool, and finds peace being near water. A hidden talent from his youth—Nick can play every brass instrument, from the tuba to the trumpet and even the flugelhorn. While he occasionally hops on a video game, he prefers spending time outdoors and staying connected to the real world.

With 12 years in the trade, Lou brings a wealth of experience to his role as a drain technician at PRO-TEC. Known for his reliability and hands-on expertise, he’s not only skilled in drain work but also has a knack for carpentry. Outside of work, Lou enjoys playing baseball and cherishes time spent watching Disney movies with his daughter — a perfect blend of fun and family.

Johny P. is a Service Plumber at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, known for his reliability, problem-solving skills, and dedication to quality work. He takes pride in helping customers with everything from everyday plumbing issues to complex repairs, always aiming to get the job done right the first time.

15 Years of Plumbing Service and Construction Experience.

Daniel T. is an apprentice plumber at Pro-Tec Plumbing and Air, born and raised in Bonita Springs, Florida. Currently building his foundation in the trade, Daniel’s goal is to gain extensive plumbing knowledge so he can confidently solve problems and help others.

A proud trade school graduate, Daniel sees that milestone as a key step toward a fulfilling career. Outside of work, he enjoys hitting the gym and visiting his favorite getaway spot—Orlando.

I’m a professional plumber based in Naples, Florida, with a deep commitment to mastering my craft and growing in the trade. Even just two weeks into my career, I took the initiative to install my own water heater—an early milestone that reinforced my passion for hands-on problem-solving and technical skill. Every job is an opportunity to learn, improve, and move closer to becoming a top-tier expert in the field.

Outside of work, I dive into the forex markets, constantly studying trends and strategies—it’s a different kind of challenge that keeps my mind sharp. When it’s time to unwind, there’s nothing better than heading to the beach, soaking up the sun, and enjoying the calm that comes with the coastal life.

Richard has seen the industry evolve from cast iron to PEX, and he’s mastered every twist and turn along the way. Whether it’s a century-old pipe system or a modern tankless water heater, Richard approaches each job with precision and pride.

He’s known for staying calm under pressure, keeping projects on track, and making sure everyone’s on the same page. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys gaming, live music, and exploring new cities on the weekends.

Seasoned plumbing technician with over 12 years of experience crawling through crawlspaces and fixing the unfixable.When he’s not rerouting pipes or rescuing flooded basements, he’s tuning up his motorcycle or playing bass in a local garage band.

Benny is a dedicated Plumbing Apprentice with a year of trade school under his belt and a strong passion for learning the craft hands-on. With a sharp eye for detail and a can-do attitude, he’s quickly becoming a valuable part of the team. Outside of work, Benny enjoys an active lifestyle—whether he’s out fishing, hunting, lifting at the gym, or relaxing at the beach. He’s also a fan of video games, boating, and hitting the golf course when he can. A man of faith, Benny finds balance in reading, Bible study, and staying involved with his church community. His mix of hard work, heart, and hobbies makes him a well-rounded and reliable team member.
